Availability: Fall, Spring, and Limited Summer

One month into your academic program, you will be assigned a Faculty Advisor who becomes your primary source for academic guidance:

  • Provide major-specific course guidance and advisement.
  • Review final classes, discuss post-graduation plans, and provide accreditation guidance for licensure-required fields.
  • Connect students with GTCC resources.
  • Offer industry insight, networking opportunities, partnership connections, and career pathways mentorships.

Availability: Fall, Spring, and Summer

These specialists are here to provide additional support throughout your academic journey, helping you to:

  • Guide students in recognizing and resolving academic and personal obstacles
  • Coach students in strengthening and implementing effective academic habits
  • Connect students with GTCC resource offices
  • Guide students on warning, probation, or supervision status
